##TheStrategyLab (located on the Freenode IRC network) is
free along with being a serious professional trading chat room for traders using
WRB Analysis (e.g. Contracting Volatility, WRBs, WRB Hidden GAPs, WRB Zone, WRB/WRB Hidden GAP profit targets, Key Market Events, Reaction Highs/Lows, Expanding Volatility, WRB Zone, R area of WRB Zone, S area of WRB Zone) by itself or merged with other trade methods to improve the performance of those other trade methods regardless if you're a
position trader, swing trader or day trader. Therefore, you're welcome to use the chat room to ask questions about WRB Analysis, post real-time
price action trading analysis involving WRB Analysis merged with your own trade methods, post real-time trades or talk about general market issues impacting today's price action involving stocks, futures, exchange traded funds or forex currencies. In addition, we welcome all traders (beginners, experience, part-time, full-time) that are merging WRB Analysis with their trade methods or using WRB Analysis to
help develop a better understanding of the price action
(market context) they're trading.
##TheStrategyLab chat room is is primarily designed for you to use as a
trade journal of your WRB Analysis or real-time trades with time stamp archive....giving you a better understanding of your broker statements from one trade to the next trade when you review your performance numbers on any given trading day in the past. Therefore, if you use our chat room...its
highly recommended you post messages that reflect what you see in the price action on your monitors so that the chat room becomes your
diary to correlate with your broker statements. Therefore, the usefulness of ##TheStrategyLab chat room is determined via
your participation in the chat room.
Also, ##TheStrategyLab chat room is
not designed to be
educational. Simply, members using the chat room are
not there to teach you how to trade and you will
not see me discussing the reasons (strategies) behind my trades within ##TheStrategyLab chat room because those reasons (strategies) are
only discussed with fee-base clients in a different chat room. Yet, if you want ##TheStrategyLab chat room to be educational or more active in discussing whatever it is that you're trading, we highly recommend that you ask trading related questions about your own trading instead of lurking (not saying anything) because your primary purpose is to improve your trading if you're a struggling trader. Therefore, don't join ##TheStrategyLab and then be
silent. To be silent while using ##TheStrategyLab chat room, you'll be wasting a collaboration opportunity for improving your trading and doing such will make ##TheStrategyLab chat room useless to you.
Quote:
The chat room is only for traders learning or applying concepts of WRB Analysis. In addition, traders that use ##TheStrategyLab are required to post either one WRB Analysis price action commentary involving any key concept from the free study guide, one real-time trade or one general trading related commentary per day they log-in to the chat room. Yet, if the trader decides to post real-time trades (simulator or real-money)...the trades must be clear (not ambiguous) entry price/exit price and position size. Traders that consistently log-in and not post any price action commentary involving WRB Analysis or post ambiguous trades will be KICKED (removed) from the chat room.
With that said, thanks for reading the trades, price action analysis or market commentaries that's below and we highly recommend you make reading of the logs a part of your trading routine because you will sometimes find useful market context information that's critical to understanding
price action trading. To qualify for access to our free ##TheStrategyLab chat room that's located on the Freenode IRC network...please follow the instructions at the TSL Support Forum

[09:37:15] <lightenup1> e minis not really in sync righ now
[09:37:22] <Tigerman_> what I know is VIX is heading lower
[09:38:30] <Corner> CL is at interestion position. Might end the 9 weeks below 50 soon
[09:39:35] <Tigerman_> Kme at 10:30 in CL maybe that show something
[09:39:51] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 1984.75 -> large size
[09:39:58] <wrbtrader> 20 contracts
[09:45:38] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 1985.75 --> + 1
[09:45:56] <wrbtrader> shallow WRB pt1 reached
[09:46:40] <wrbtrader> I would have stayed in the trade for a try at a WRB pt2 but the price action is too bouncy for me
[09:47:12] <wrbtrader> will just watch...hoping for a small retracement
[09:50:13] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 1986.75 -> large size
[09:50:42] <wrbtrader> re-entry
[09:53:13] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 1986.75 --> 0
[09:53:21] <wrbtrader>
[09:54:02] <wrbtrader> too much contracting volatility along with the fact that the VIX has declined further into the +18 range
[09:55:22] <Tigerman_> junk action right now
[09:57:13] <wrbtrader> Long Emini ES @ 1987.25 -> large size
[09:57:21] <wrbtrader> re-entry
[09:59:11] <wrbtrader> Exited all Emini ES Long @ 1988.25 --> + 1
[09:59:24] <wrbtrader> not a WRB pt1
[09:59:30] <wrbtrader> Thus, an early exit
[10:26:33] <wrbtrader> calm in the markets and the volatilty is a little lower
[10:28:00] <Corner> KME CL around the corner
[10:30:42] <patrader> giant WRB forming in CL
[10:30:52] <xtrader34__> Not looking good in the CL
[10:31:15] <xtrader34__> Quick flush to the downside
[10:31:28] <wrbtrader> Yeah, this 1030am est KME on the EIA Petroleum Status report is bringin in some volatility...
[10:31:33] <wrbtrader> Yet, I doubt it will last
[10:31:51] <xtrader34__> Agree
[10:32:09] <xtrader34__> its already contracting
[10:33:37] <Corner> Short CL 48.73
[10:34:25] <Corner> Close all CL 48.70 +0.03 :-(
[10:36:31] <Corner> Long CL 48.97
[10:37:39] <Corner> Close all CL 48.97 +0.00
[10:38:43] <Corner> Long CL 48.94 re-entry
[10:39:48] <Corner> Close all CL 48.91 -0.06
[10:40:01] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 1984.25 -> large size
[10:40:09] <wrbtrader> 10 contracts
[10:40:16] <wrbtrader> lowering position size
[10:40:50] <Corner> Short CL 48.81
[10:40:52] <wrbtrader> volatility increasing right now but I don't have much faith for profit targets bigger than WRB pt1
[10:41:20] <wrbtrader> knock on wood...this current volatility spike is proving me wrong about the volatility
[10:41:28] <wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reach
[10:41:44] <wrbtrader> If it contracts...it will snapback (Up)
[10:42:45] <Corner> Close all CL 48.61 +0.20
[10:42:57] <Corner> finally :-)
[10:43:23] <wrbtrader> Crude Oil CL futures went crazy...still trying to push lower
[10:43:52] <wrbtrader> Its the only reason why I'm still holding my Emini ES short
[10:44:02] <wrbtrader> WRB pt2 reached
[10:47:03] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 1981.75 --> + 2.5
[10:47:28] <wrbtrader> retraced back to the WRB pt1 where my trail stop was at
[10:48:30] <wrbtrader> I'm surprise the EIA report brought in that much volatility...lately it has not
[10:49:15] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 1980.75 -> large size
[10:49:25] <wrbtrader> re-entry intuition
[10:49:39] <wrbtrader> WRB pt1 reached
[10:49:41] <Corner> Short ES mini 1979.50
[10:51:13] <Corner> Exit all ES mini 1977.50 +2.00 just scalping
[10:54:12] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 1979.75 --> + 1
[10:54:36] <lightenup1> Short tf 1136.80
[10:54:52] <wrbtrader> Big bounce back upwards in Crude Oil CL futures
[10:56:09] <lightenup1> Flat tf 1136.80 +0
[11:01:14] <Tigerman_> if someone noted .... Spy just filled that big gap Sep 18
[11:01:26] <Tigerman_> then retrace back again
[11:02:09] <Tigerman_> simply from the wash of late August E-minies are traped in a range
[11:08:50] <Corner> So much for the DAX being north 10000 again :-)
[11:10:01] <Tigerman_> yep but it was near 12K before
[11:10:44] <Tigerman_> what I no like in Dax is the spread and low liquidity
[11:11:17] <Tigerman_> in contrast Stoxx50 is better as liquidity
[11:11:33] <Corner> You can simply use a lower number of contracts :-)
[11:11:45] <Tigerman_> but small contracts, so lot of commissions ans moves tighter
[11:12:30] <Tigerman_> yes but I want gain more money no less
[11:12:53] <Corner> Ahem. DAX contract is the opposite of small.
[11:14:01] <Tigerman_> yep his value is big but hard to find more then 1pz on first level book
[11:14:35] <Tigerman_> and 2-3 or more tick as spread
[11:15:49] <Corner> That's ok for me. The is huge volume what is not shown.
[11:16:26] <Corner> Real spread is not that wide. Normally you get filled in the middle of the spread.
[11:17:14] <Tigerman_> not sure I have to try it
[11:17:39] <Tigerman_> simply now also fill 20-30pz in ES as limit order is tought
[11:18:01] <Tigerman_> so in dax is a sure no fill
[11:18:13] <Corner> ES mini is completely different.
[11:18:24] <Tigerman_> why
?
[11:18:31] <Corner> There is no middle.
[11:18:37] <Tigerman_> liquidity is there or not
[11:19:04] <Corner> In ES mini you need efectively 6ticks for 4
[11:19:30] <Corner> on limit orders
[11:20:26] <Tigerman_> my point if I want enter with 4pz in Dax or ES and in first level is only 1 available no way you can get a fill
[11:20:42] <Tigerman_> I mean not sure
[11:21:42] <Tigerman_> simply I HATE spread and NO Fill
[11:22:07] <Tigerman_> of course in swing trade that matter less
[11:22:55] <Tigerman_> regardless I ll reconsider Eurex in next weeks
[11:23:19] <Tigerman_> simply in my backtest it performs better then ES
[11:23:37] <Tigerman_> now I have to determine Dax vs Stoxx50
[11:24:12] <Tigerman_> Dax volatility with STX50 liquidity will be nice
[11:24:56] <Corner> STX50 is much small and full point tick size. not good.
[11:25:17] <lightenup1> Short tf 1132.60
[11:25:53] <lightenup1> Flat tf 1131.70 +.9
[11:26:01] <Corner> ES mini now in yesterdays TR again
[11:26:43] <Corner> CL testing earlier lows
[11:27:22] <Tigerman_> sh es 1969
[11:27:56] <Tigerman_> exit 2/3 68 +4t
[11:28:26] <Tigerman_> exit 68.75 +1tk
[11:30:25] <Tigerman_> <Corner> STX50 is much small and full point tick size. not good. ... corner I mean ESTX50 in IB
[11:31:07] <Corner> I meant that too.
[11:31:15] <Tigerman_> ah ok
[11:31:56] <Tigerman_> what not good x you in ESTX50?
[11:32:27] <Tigerman_> of course moves tight but lot liquidity
[11:32:59] <Tigerman_> of course more commissions
[11:33:12] <Corner> But 1 full point as a tick is a huge spread at 3200
[11:33:32] <Corner> At ES mini we have a quarter as ticksize
[11:34:22] <Corner> DAX is best at 10000 half a point as ticksize
[11:35:29] <Tigerman_> ah ok agreed on that
[11:36:19] <Tigerman_> the issue is to see if is better a large move in Dax with 2pz or..
[11:37:27] <Tigerman_> tight move in Stx50 with 50pz x example
[11:37:35] <Tigerman_> or more
[11:38:39] <Tigerman_> anyway I use small size in everything
[11:38:44] <Corner> My point is: you pay a lot of for spread and commission in EuroStoxx. You have to earn that back...
[11:39:10] <Tigerman_> I have to be more consistent in next weeks to add size not now
[11:40:22] <Tigerman_> yes I agreed on your point
[11:40:30] <Corner> Short CL 48.20
[11:41:17] <Tigerman_> simply my point is : I prefer gain 1000$ and pay 500$ in commission VS gain 50$ and pay 5$ in commissions
[11:41:46] <Corner> I don't
[11:42:36] <Corner> Close CL 47.95 +0.25 :-)
[11:43:08] <Tigerman_> ah ok ...of course I no like pay spread and commissions ,simply if I can get more money in pocket is better
[11:43:35] <Tigerman_> issue also with tiny moves in Dax you gain something
[11:44:00] <Tigerman_> with Stox50 no
[11:44:28] <Tigerman_> so you need larger moves
[12:45:22] <Tigerman_> take care
[12:55:52] <patrader> Have a good rest of the day everyone
[12:56:41] <patrader> I'm moving today so may not be in for the next couple days
[13:34:53] <TradeSnake______> Short GC @ 1148.9
[13:43:52] <lightenup1> TF testing resistance of recient up WRBHG
[13:45:02] <winmax60> long es@1982.75
[13:45:14] <winmax60> exit @198.75 +2
[14:27:58] <TradeSnake______> Covered GC @ 1147.9 --> +1.0
[14:52:31] <wrbtrader> Shorts Emini ES @ 1978.25 -> large size
[14:52:55] <wrbtrader> 15 contracts
[14:55:23] <wrbtrader> Covered all Emini ES Short @ 1979.25 --> - 1

In addition, our primary job in the
